He assumes responsibilities formerly held by David Escoffier, who replaced Dan Fields as head of the bank’s hedge fund group earlier this month.

El Asmar is based in London. He reports to Nicolas Miara-Godet, head of structured products sales for Europe, and Dan Fields, who was recently appointed head of flow and listed products. He was previously head of sales for eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a position he had held since March 2005.
