BNP Paribas expands in London fund derivatives sales

BNP Paribas has appointed two salespeople to its fund derivatives sales team within its equities and derivatives division in London.

Stephane Berthet joins from Société Générale, where he headed the alternative financing structuring team. Frederic Cezard transfers to London from BNP Paribas Paris, where he was covering France and Switzerland for the fund derivatives business. Cezard joined BNP Paribas in 2004 from Société Générale, where he specialised in alternative investments.

Both Berthet and Cezard report to Stephane Goursat, head of UK and northern European structured product sales.

Goursat said: “London is the key venue for the alternative investment industry and Stephane and Frederic’s appointments demonstrate our strong commitment to this product area.”
