BNP Paribas hires head of forex sales

BNP Paribas has hired Clive Banks as head of foreign exchange sales for its European corporate group (ECG).

He will report to Ligia Torres, head of the ECG, which includes corporate, sovereign, agency and supranational clients.

Banks joins from Citigroup, where he hwas co-head of its European derivatives solutions group. Previously, he was head of Hambros Bank’s financial structuring department and head of derivatives marketing for the First National Bank of Chicago in Australia for the Asia-Pacific region.

Torres said the appointment would lead to further cohesion between forex, credit and derivatives to "provide value-added solutions across products".
