Credit Lyonnais boosts Asian hedge fund team

The emerging markets arm of Credit Lyonnais has made three new hires to its specialist hedge fund team in Hong Kong.

Sheldon Lee has been made head of Asian hedge fund sales. He joins from ABN Amro, where he headed the hedge fund sales group. Meanwhile, Michael Li and Patrick Hugh were both hired to provide technical trading strategies, which the bank hopes will complement quant work developed by another recent hire, Chris Lobello, a risk and trading strategist. Li and Hugh will also work closely with the members of the existing technical research team, including global strategist, Chris Roberts.

The hires are part of the French bank's plans to provide a co-ordinated approach across all product offerings, including specialist research, sales and equity-raising capabilities, to alternative fund clients.
