Rothwell departs JP Morgan

Giles Rothwell has left JP Morgan, where he was global head of structured investments distributor marketing. He has been replaced by Beat von Gunten, previously head of structured products distributor marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the US investment bank in London.

Rothwell joined JP Morgan in November last year from Barclays Capital.

He joined the equity derivatives team at BZW (later to become BarCap) in 1996, after seven years at HSBC. After rising to European head of solution sales, he was appointed global head of investor solutions in 2003.

During his tenure, Rothwell built BarCap's franchise into an award-winning business, receiving three awards from Structured Products magazine in 2006, including house of the year awards for hedge funds, commodities and best in the UK.
