NYBOT appoints new CEO

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) has appointed its chairman, Charles Falk, to be its new president and chief executive officer (CEO). Falk has been acting in the position since the resignation of the previous CEO, Mark Fichtel, in April 2002.

NYBOT also named former vice chairman Frederick Schoenhut as its chairman; Roger Corrado, a member at large, will now serve as vice chairman. A new executive committee has also been appointed.

The New York Board of Trade is the parent company of the Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange (CSSE) and the New York Cotton Exchange (NYCE).
