BoA hires to expand structured finance

Bank of America has appointed Richard Downer as head of mortgage principal finance and Neil Warman as his deputy, in its London-based global finance team.

Downer joins from Bear Stearns, where he was head of mortgage and consumer assets. Prior to this, he worked in structured finance at Merrill Lynch, ANZ and Greenwich Natwest. Warman also joins from Bear Stearns, where he was a banker in the mortgage and consumer finance group.

Downer and Warman will both be based in London and will report to Steve Skerrett, head of asset-backed securities origination for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
