IG names finance director

London-based IG, which owns the spread betting firm IG Index and contract- for-difference provider IG Markets, said Clutton will start work as financedirector on October 2.

On the same date, his predecessor, Tim Howkins, will take over as chief executive. Nat le Roux, IG's current chief executive, announced in May that he would step down and take on a role as non-executive deputy chairman.

Clutton was formerly finance director of UK retail banking with Barclays Bank.
