BNP Paribas hires Bystrom for new ETF options trading role

Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Bystrom was an independent trader, who had earlier spent five years in Merrill Lynch's equity derivatives group, most recently as head of ETF options trading.

Bystrom will report to David Abner, head of ETF in the Americas, and Stephane Petermann, head of index options trading in the Americas.

Steinberg, head of equities and derivatives in the Americas at BNP Paribas, believes ETF options sales and trading are a key component to the firm's strategy of building a "full service" equity derivatives business in the US.
