CSFB recruits equity derivatives marketer

Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), the investment banking arm of Zurich-based financial services company Credit Suisse Group, has hired Stephen Roti as managing director and head of US corporate equity derivatives marketing, within the equity-linked origination group (ELO)in New York.

Roti joins from JP Morgan Chase, where he was head of corporate equity derivatives marketing. A graduate of Yale Law School in 1995, where he focused on derivatives and securities regulation, he has remained in the industry since, first at Sullivan and Cromwell, then in 1997 at Credit Agricole Lazard Financial Products. He joined JP Morgan in 1999.

“Steve is among the most accomplished derivatives professionals in the industry, and we are thrilled to have someone of his calibre join our team,” said Tim Bock, CSFB’s global co-head of ELO.
