LeBlanc leaves DrKW to head risk management at Barclays

Robert LeBlanc has joined Barclays Capital as its new head of risk management, after less than a year at German rival Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW). Both banks declined to comment on the move.

LeBlanc was at JP Morgan until April 2001, when he moved to DrKW to become a managing director and global head of portfolio management. In that newly created position, LeBlanc was charged with maximising returns of the overall loan portfolio.

He spent 17 years with JP Morgan, most recently as managing director of credit risk management. With a career spent in the fixed-income and credit markets, LeBlanc’s responsibilities have included heading various credit trading, portfolio management and risk management groups.
