SG appoints interest rate derivatives marketer

SG, the investment banking arm of French bank Société Générale, has appointed Arun Jagannathan from Merrill Lynch to sell interest rate derivatives and structured products to German and Austrian banks.

Jagannathan, a German national, sold interest rate products for Merrill Lynch in London. He will remain London-based in his new role and will report to Sophie Landry, director of interest rate derivatives and credit products.

“Arun is an experienced professional with a solid track record in distributing derivatives to European clients,” said Marcus Ribka, SG’s deputy head of fixed-income institutional sales.
