DrKW appoints quant trading team

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) has created a new quantitative trading team in London. It started trading this month and focuses on statistical arbitrage strategies.

Zafrul Bhuia, who joins as director, leads the team. He worked on a similar venture at Credit Suisse First Boston and also managed a trading desk for the bank.

Daniel Clarke joins from Goldman Sachs as senior trader, and is also a director. He previously worked in Goldman's statistical arbitrage team.

Jon Davidson and Taras Chaban join as vice-presidents. Steffen Seitz, also a vice-president, is the only member of the team recruited internally.

The team reports to Areski Iberrakene, global head of equity derivatives trading.
