Eurex elects exchange council

Eurex, the world’s largest derivatives exchange as measured by transaction volumes, named Dresdner Bank board director Leonhard Fischer as chairman of its new exchange council - the highest supervisory body of the Swiss-German exchange.

Peter Coym, member of the executive board of Lehman Brothers, was made vice-chairman, while Ulrike Diehl, managing director of DVFA - the German Society ofInvestment Analysts and Asset Managers - was made an investor representative.

Christian Schlag, chair of derivatives and financial engineering at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, in Frankfurt, also was named as an investor representative.
