Perlman to lead Deutsche Bank’s US prime brokerage effort

Deutsche Bank Securities has hired Craig Perlman as managing director and US head of client service for prime brokerage within its global markets division.

Perlman joins the German dealer from UBS, where he served as chief operating officer for its prime brokerage business.

He will be based in the bank’s New York office and report to Christopher Caruso, managing director and head of prime brokerage in North America.

Caruso said the appointment would assist in helping the bank expand its prime brokerage services to the increasingly sophisticated needs of hedge fund clients.
