Lehman Brothers appoints new Indian head

Since opening its Mumbai headquarters last year, the 1,000-strong operation has focused on developing infrastructure and research to support the Lehman Brothers’ operations globally across investment banking, capital markets and finance, and risk management.

Jotwani will start in his new role later this year. Before his present position in fixed income, Jotwani was head of international credit markets in Europe and Asia, having previously served as head of fixed income for Asia.

As chairman, Jotwani will sit on the US dealers’s Asian executive committee, reporting to Jasjit Bhattal, chief executive for Asia. Meanwhile, Andrew Morton will become the sole European head of fixed income after Jotwani relocates to India. Morton is a 13-year veteran at Lehman Brothers.
