Perlin to leave World Bank

Goldstein joined the World Bank in September 1999 as a managing director and has been responsible for all its finance, strategy and budget functions. He also oversees its financial sector operations in client countries, resource mobilization efforts, the International Development Association (its concessional lending arm) and its global programs and partnerships. He is also a member of the World Bank’s management committee.

Perlin has been the World Bank’s CFO since 1998 and is well-regarded for guiding the multilateral through the volatile markets left in the wake of the Asian, Brazilian, Russian and, more recently, Argentine financial crises.
