Ex-head of risk at Millennium joins JP Morgan Chase

Lively, who started work at JP Morgan Chase this week, was previously head of risk at Millennium Partners, a hedge fund in New York. Before this, he was a managing director in corporate risk management at Merrill Lynch.

In addition to his institutional equities brief, Lively will be responsible for market risk measurement. He will report to Lesley Daniels Webster, head of market risk management at JP Morgan Chase.

Lively’s last employer, Millennium, was one of the most prominent funds to be investigated last year by New York State attorney-general Eliot Spitzer and the Securities and Exchange Commission for late trading.
