ABN Amro appoints new head of Asian equity derivatives trading

The hire comes after Frank McKirgan, previously head of Asian equity derivatives, transferred to London to assume the role of global head of equity cash trading (See: ABN Amro head of Asian equity derivatives transfers to London).

Ahmed joins ABN Amro from WI Carr, where he was head of Asian equity derivatives, and will work in partnership with Anthony Wah, head of Asian equity derivatives marketing.

Wah will also take responsibility for the overall co-ordination of the Asian equity derivatives business, reporting to Richard Loretan in London, said the bank official.

Ahmed will report to Paris Badekas, ABN Amro's global head of equity derivatives trading in London.
