Allianz Global Investors appoints Asia-Pacific head

Allianz Global Investors today appointed Douglas Eu as its chief executive for Asia-Pacific, replacing Bruce Kho, who moves to the newly created position of chairman for Asia-Pacific.

Eu joins from JF Asset Management, where he spent 19 years, most recently as chief executive of JF Funds. At Allianz Global Investors, the asset management division of the Allianz Group, he will be responsible for regional business growth. A 20-year Allianz veteran, Kho will guide the business expansion of Allianz Global Investors. Before joining Allianz, Kho was a management consultant in Malaysia with the then-named accounting and consulting firm Touche Ross, now Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
