Morgan Stanley rejigs currency and rates group

As chairman, Chenevix-Trench will be responsible for overseeing the equity, fixed income and investment banking businesses. He will report to Vikram Pandit, head of the institutional securities group, and David Walker, chairman of Morgan Stanley International.

Chenevix-Trench’s responsibilities as global head of the currency and rates group will be assumed jointly by Philip Newcomb, New York-based global head of foreign exchange, and Sean Notley, London-based co-head of European fixed income. In their expanded role as co-heads of the global interest rate and currency group, they will report to Zoe Cruz, global head of fixed income, commodities and foreign exchange.
