Gooch named as Nymex Europe CEO

Nymex Europe has named Andy Gooch as its new chief executive, replacing interim CEO Samuel Gaer.

Gaer, Nymex's chief information officer, was appointed chief executive of London-based Nymex Europe when it was established in September last year. He will retain this post, which is based in New York.

Before joining Nymex, Gooch was head of exchange-traded and over-the-counter commodities for Calyon, and was a director of the International Petroleum Exchange and the London Metal Exchange.
