RBS boosts swaps team

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has hired Benoit Seguret as a senior interest rate swaps trader in its financial markets division.

Seguret was previously at BRED-Banque Populaire in Paris, where he spent over three years working as a proprietary fixed income and derivative trader. He has also worked for BNP Paribas as a financial engineer in it exotic derivative team.

Seguret will be working in a six-strong euro interest rate derivatives team, and will be responsible for the pricing, trading and execution of a range of euro interest rate derivative products. He will service RBS's European corporate, institutional and interbank clients and report to Alan King, RBS head of euro interest rate swaps trading.

"RBS financial markets is committed to building a first-class European business, and Benoit is an excellent addition to the team. Working with our customer-facing teams, Benoit will help us to continue to provide our European client base with superior solutions to their risk management, financing and investment requirements," said John McCormick, RBS financial markets' global head of interest rate derivative and financial futures.
