Elmlinger exits Citi

Joe Elmlinger, New York-based head of global equity derivatives at Citi and a director of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, has left the firm.

A spokesman for Citi confirmed Elmlinger had departed, adding there were currently no plans to replace him. Instead, he pointed to the formation of the bank’s new global retail structured products unit under Richard Burns, its London-based former head of equities structured products.

Regional equity derivatives businesses would continue to be organised by flow, distribution and trading, he said.

Elmlinger was re-elected as a member of Isda’s board of directors on April 17.
