Barclays nabs Bear Stearns' European credit derivatives head

Andrew Whittle, Bear Stearns head of European credit derivatives in London, left the bank yesterday, a spokesman for the US bank in London has confirmed.

A source close to the matter said Whittle had taken on a new position at Barclays in London. A spokeswoman for Barclays said she had no information on the move.

Whittle's position at Bear Stearns has been filled by Emmanuel Rousseau, the bank's head of credit derivatives trading for Europe.

Rousseau will report to Sean Hamedi, head of fixed-income trading for Europe, based in London.
