Prudential Securities hires futures head

New York-based Prudential Securities has made Alex Ladouceur its head of global futures, foreign exchange and metals – a newly created role. Ladouceur will drive all the company’s futures division operating activities, including sales and trading, foreign exchange, base and precious metals, managed futures and the trading floors. He will report to Stephen Massey, president of Prudential Securities’ international operations.

Ladouceur joins from Credit Lyonnais Rouse (CLR), where he served as president of its US operations since 1992, and was a main board director of CLR in London since 1994. He was appointed managing director of global cash markets at CLR with responsibility for leading global market-making and sales for over-the-counter products, including structured derivative products in 1998. Ladouceur also introduced CLR’s online trading system for foreign exchange.“Alex brings extensive and broad experience in all aspects of the futures industry to our firm,” said Massey. “In combination with our existing strong management team and excellent group of financial advisers and traders, his appointment will allow this important part of our firm to embark on a growth strategy.”
