Ice to head US rates marketing at UBS Warburg

UBS Warburg, the investment banking arm of Switzerland’s UBS, has hired Michael Ice to head its interest rate derivatives marketing and structuring unit in the United States.

Ice will report to Raphael Geys, global head of fixed-income derivatives marketing and structuring. He previously ran the fixed-income and derivatives business at the Netherlands' Rabobank after a spell as a structured products marketer at Merrill Lynch. He most recently ran a real estate portfolio software business called RealMetrics.

Geys said Ice’s hire is part of a wider effort by UBS Warburg to offer more resources to its growing number of US-based clients.
