LME lines up Axa's Brydon as new chairman

Brydon will become chairman of the LME later this year when the current incumbent, John Pizzey, stands down, said the LME in a statement.

“Donald Brydon brings outstanding experience of business and finance to the LME,” said Pizzey. “He will bring a different commercial outlook that, allied to the strong trade and practitioner elements of the board, will help the LME build on its strengths and continue its evolution.”

Brydon joined Axa in 1997 after 20 years with Barclays, where he built the investment management arm and became chief executive of BZW Investment Management, and subsequently acting chief executive of BZW.
