RBS hires Asian credit head

The Royal Bank of Scotland has hired Trevor Vail as head of Asia credit trading, as the British bank looks to expand its credit derivatives business in Asia.

Vail joins from ING in Hong Kong, where he was head of credit trading for Asia. Before that, he was head of credit trading in Japan for Barclays Capital. Based in Tokyo, Vail will report to Stewart Booth, global head of credit trading in London, and Pierre Ferland, head of financial markets in Japan.
