National Australia Bank makes two appointments in Asia

National Australia Bank (NAB) has made two senior appointments in Asia. Matthew Blackwell arrives as head of structured products for Asia, and Shinya Fukumoto joins as director and head of capital markets, Japan.

Blackwell was previously in NAB’s Melbourne dealing room as head of credit trading. Before that, he traded derivatives and structured interest rate products at Bank of New Zealand. He is responsible for driving structured corporate bonds, credit derivatives, equity-linked and currency products throughout Asia and is based in Hong Kong.

Fukumoto is responsible for the distribution of debt-related and structured products to Japanese clients. Before taking the post, he was with TD Securities for 10 years, most recently as a vice-president and director in strategic solutions sales, responsible for origination and distribution of fixed-income, capital markets, derivatives and structured products.

Both appointees report to Doug Goldsmith and Brian Watt, co-heads of markets in Asia.
