Debreu sets up new Los Angeles derivatives office for SG

Stanislas Debreu, formerly head of global equity derivatives sales and marketing at SG in Paris, has founded a new equity derivatives sales office in Los Angeles for the French bank. Debreu took up his new role as SG's head of West Coast-based equity derivatives sales to institutions, hedge funds and distributors in mid-March.

Replacing Debreu as global head of sales and marketing in Paris is Bernard Desforges.

Debreu's wife is from Los Angeles, and Debreu said he jumped at the chance to move to California so the couple could be closer to her family. "The mandate is the same, whether it is in New York, Hong Kong or Tokyo... it is to sell structured products," Debreu said.

SG corporate equity derivatives sales will continue to be managed out of New York.
