Ghalayini joined as a director in the forex structuring group from Commerzbank in the spring of last year. He worked alongside Zurich-based Benjamin Anderegg and reported to Marc Honegger, who heads global structuring. Ghalayini reported to Honegger, also in Zurich.

The bank said no replacement had been named. The departure of Ghalayini from the London office follows centralisation of the bank's operation in Zurich with Delia Wang, senior exotics options trader moving to Zurich from Singapore.
