UBS hires Liverance

UBS has announced the appointment of Eric Liverance as executive director and head of US rate derivatives strategy.

Liverance, who will be based in Stamford, Connecticut, previously served as head of quantitative interest rate strategy at Morgan Stanley, where his responsibilities included analytical modelling, relative value and trading model construction and implementation.

He joined Morgan Stanley in 2003 from New York-based hedge fund Clinton Group, where he was involved in interest rate derivatives modelling and quantitative trading of interest rate derivatives.

Liverance replaces Emmin Shung, who has moved to become a strategist at UBS' exotics trading desk.
