SG appoints new head of equity sales and trading

SG, the investment banking arm of Société Générale, has appointed Jacques Ripoll – who was in charge of the equity financing group within equity derivatives and also the hedge fund sales group – as head of equity sales and trading.

Paris-based Ripoll replaces Jean-Claude Petard, who has been appointed head of equity capital markets. He replaces Carlos Condé, who is leaving the bank to pursue other interests, said SG in a statement.

Ripoll joined SG in 1991 as an auditor in the inspection division. He transferred to the equity derivatives division in 1998.
