S&P hires CreditTrade’s former head of information services

Rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has appointed Krishna Biltoo, former head of information services at credit derivatives inter-dealer broker CreditTrade, as a managing director of its securities services, Europe.

Biltoo will be responsible for the overall growth, direction and leadership of securities information, securities evaluations, and securities classifications products and services, S&P said. He will also initiate “strategic partnerships, alliances and possible acquisitions”.

“We are confident in his ability to create and drive new business by establishing strategic alliances and executing tactics to grow the European capital market-place,” said Vladimir Stadnyk, executive managing director at the company.London-based Biltoo spent 22 years at Reuters Information before joining CreditTrade. As head of credit risk, he was responsible for developing products for the credit trading sector. He also led Reuters efforts to form RiskMetrics, along with JP Morgan, to market risk information products.
