RiskBusiness appoints new executive director

He was previously head of the risk event database group at JP Morgan Chase's corporate operational risk group.

Cech practised law before joining JP Morgan in 1984, where he focused on mortgage-backed securities, capital markets, emerging markets and derivatives valuations. In 1995, he joined the corporate risk management group to work on policy development, before becoming a founding member of the corporate operational risk group. He was also JP Morgan Chase's representative on the definitions group of the Switzerland-based Operational Riskdata eXchange Association.
