BarCap hires equity derivatives flow sales head
Timothy Last, former head of equity derivatives sales for the Asia-Pacific region at Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong, has taken on the role of head of equity derivatives flow sales for Asia excluding Japan at Barclays Capital.
He will be based in Hong Kong and will report to David Campbell, head of North Asia distribution, and Nicholas Moreira, head of equities for Asia-Pacific.
Last's appointment comes after BarCap hired 100 equities professionals in Japan in October last year, following the expansion of the firm's US equity business with the takeover of Lehman Brothers in September.
