ICE promotes sales and marketing staff

IntercontinetalExchange (ICE), which has bought London's International Petroleum Exchange, has promoted a number of its sales and marketing staff to manage the growth in business during the past 10 months, the company said.

The US exchange has made Rafael Pirutinsky a senior vice president for sales and strategic relationships with market participants and potential customers. Pirutinsky, who has been responsible for international participation in ICE, has been working for 20 years in the derivatives business and previously held roles at Euro Brokers in New York.

Based in London, Stephanie Trabia, who ran ICE’s sales and client relations, has been appointed vice-president of ICE’s oil products marketing, while Joseph Adevai has been made vice-president of natural gas marketing and will manage global natural gas products.

“Each of these promotions is a direct reflection of the outstanding contributions that these individuals have made to the rapid growth our markets have experienced since ICE opened for trading less than 12 months ago,” said ICE chief executive Jeffrey Sprecher.
