Isda AGM: new board named

Isda named its new board of directors at its annual general meeting in Boston yesterday.

Of the organisation's 21 directors, 11 were re-elected and eight will remain on the board without re-election. Joining the board are David Carlson, senior managing director in charge of global credit derivative structuring and marketing at Bear Stearns in New York, and Sotaro Kato, head of macro-risk derivatives at the financial products department of Nomura Securities in Tokyo.

Kato replaces Hidetako Hara, deputy managing director of Nomura's global markets planning department. Carlson takes the place of Mark Davies, Bear Stearns' head of global credit trading, who left Isda earlier this year.
