BNP Paribas hires for securitisation

BNP Paribas has appointed Arjan Verbeek as co-head of flow products within the securitisation group, a newly created position based in London.

Verbeek joins from Barclays Capital, where he was a director in the financial institutions securitisation group, responsible for structuring covered bonds and the bank’s master trust business.

London-based Tim Drayson, global head of securitisation, said of the appointment: “Arjan will assume responsibility for building up the securitisation group’s presence in the UK and Northern European residential mortgage markets, where we feel that traditional RMBS, structured covered bonds and loan portfolio trading will continue to grow over the next few years.”

Verbeek reports to Fabrice Susini, head of European securitisation, and joins Thierry Daschner, who was promoted internally to co-head of flow products.
