New wealth management head in Japan for UBS Securities

Walter Seitz has been appointed head of wealth management at UBS Securities Japan to replace Junya Tani, who left to head Credit Suisse’s newly launched private banking operations in Tokyo.

Seitz also continues with his previous role as head of UBS Wealth Management’s financial intermediaries business for Asia-Pacific. In that role, he oversees UBS’ collaboration with independent asset managers and wealth management boutiques to service high-net-worth clients.

Jean-Claude Humair continues as head of wealth management in UBS’ bank branch in Tokyo. Due to Japanese regulatory restrictions, wealth management operates teams in both the banking and securities entities.
