Mason joins Carlyle's Asian leveraged finance group

Eric Mason has joined the Carlyle Group as a managing director in the leveraged finance group.

He moves from JP Morgan Securities Asia, where he was co-head of syndicated and leveraged finance for the Asia-Pacific region. He was responsible for structuring and executing financial sponsor-related leveraged buyouts, high-yield bonds and mezzanine debt.

He will remain in Hong Kong and will be responsible for developing the group's Asian business. Carlyle Leveraged Finance already has more than $8 billion under management in the US and Europe.
