Global clearing head leaves Bear Stearns

Richard Lindsey, Bear Stearns’ co-president and head of global clearing services, is leaving at the end of the year.

Lindsey joined the bank in 1999, after serving on the Securities and Exchange Commission as director of market regulation. Working in New York, he helped develop hedge fund services, prime brokerage and clearing product platforms. He said he was leaving to pursue other opportunities, possibly in the hedge fund industry.

Lindsey's responsibilities will be transferred to Bear Stearns’ equities division. (See also: Bear Stearns expands senior team)
