Bear Stearns names head of European fixed income

Yves Leysen has taken over as sole head of fixed income for Bear Stearns in Europe, after the departure of John Moore.

Moore has been promoted to chief executive of the bank's Asian operations. He will be based in Hong Kong and Tokyo and will start work next month.

Leysen was head of debt corporate finance for Europe for five years before becoming co-head of fixed income in November last year. He has been responsible for building up the bank's mortgage, securitisation and distressed debt businesses.
