China Construction Bank makes top-level appointments

China Construction Bank has appointed Pang Xiusheng as chief financial officer and Zhu Xiaohuang as chief risk officer. The two new positions are part of a major revamp of the bank’s risk management structure, and both will take up their posts immediately at the bank’s Hong Kong offices.

Pang has been at the bank since 1980, and was most recently executive vice-director of the asset and liability committee. Zhu joined in 1982 and before the promotion was executive vice-director of the newly formed risk management committee. In their new positions, both Pang and Zhu will report to the board.The bank has recently been working closely with entities such as Bank of America and has recruited a number of overseas managers to provide it with risk management training and consultancy.
