Credit Suisse hires in equities
Credit Suisse has made a number of new hires in equity derivatives globally, following the bank's formation of a London-based equity derivatives product management group.
Alberto Garcia Elias also joins Credit Suisse in London as head of European structured retail products. He has left Dresdner Kleinwort, where he headed the bank’s structured retail products group. He replaces Jean-Manuel Dersy, and now reports to Osama Abbasi, co-head of Credit Suisse’s European fixed-income coverage group.
Elsewhere, Jason Brus joins the bank as global equity derivatives chief of staff, based in London and reporting to Simon Yates. He rejoins Credit Suisse from BNP Paribas, where he worked in flow trading. Christophe Moser joins as a director in London, with responsibility for trading flow single-stock options. He joins from Dresdner Kleinwort and will report to Mike Taylor and Shaun Baker, co-heads of flow single-stock trading for Europe.
Rob Hewitt also joins Credit Suisse, as head of non-Japan Asia equity derivatives flow trading. He will be based in Hong Kong and report to Grant Rippetoe. Hewitt was formerly responsible for Japan index trading at UBS. Reporting to him is new appointee Jean Guy-Renard, who joins from Morgan Stanley as head of non-Japan Asia index option trading. In addition, Michael Chighine joins the bank in Sydney, where he will be responsible for Australian equity derivatives trading. He reports to Steve Hall, head of derivatives trading for Australia.
