F&C poaches hedge fund specialists from London & Capital

London-based asset manager F&C has hired a team of four hedge fund specialists to launch a fixed income hedge fund within its alternative investments division.

The F&C Tourmaline fund, to be launched in the next few weeks, will be a global and diversified fund, the second hedge fund F&C will have launched in the last six months as part of its three-year growth plan.

Sanjay Joshi will be the lead manager and joins from London & Capital’s fixed-income team. He will report to Lisa Hall, head of alternative investments. Rabbani Wahhab and Mario Nicolaou join as senior fund managers and Shilen Shah joins as an analyst. All three are also from London & Capital’s fixed income team and will report to Joshi. All four new hires will be based in London.
