Mark leaves CIBC to launch consultancy

Robert Mark has resigned as vice chairman and chief risk officer at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Toronto to launch a consulting firm and pursue academic interests, the bank said.

CIBC has named Wayne Fox, formerly vice chairman of treasury and balance sheet management, as Mark’s successor, and has merged the bank’s treasury, balance sheet and risk management functions under Fox.

Mark will continue to work for CIBC as a consultant, the bank said.
