Bank of America strengthens its European debt platform

Bank of America has made a number of appointments to its European debt team in London.

Michele Ransley joined the bank this week as head of high-yield bond sales. She moves from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where she worked in fixed-income sales as a director of hedge fund sales, and reports to the head of European high-yield and international special situations, Peter Young.

Also joining the bank this week is Yassir Benjelloun, who joined the global structured credit trading group from BNP Paribas, where he traded credit indexes. His remit is to expand the structured credit trading franchise by developing credit volatility trading strategies. He reports to Iftikhar Ali, head of credit arbitrage.

Three more appointments have been made within the team in recent weeks. Andrew McCourt joined as head of financial institution credit trading, reporting to Alex Bernand, global head of structured and international investment grade trading. He joined from Société Générale. Chris de Sibert joined the bank’s global foreign exchange sales team as head of southern European sales, from Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was Iberian country head. He reports to Kai Fisher and Eric Ohayon, European heads of global foreign exchange for sales for corporates, and structuring and interbank sales, respectively. And Nik Dhanani joins the capital structuring group, structuring and advising on bank and insurance hybrid capital products. He joins from Citigroup and reports to JC Perrig, head of international debt capital markets.
