Deutsche hires Ritter to head commodities

Deutsche Bank has hired Mark Ritter as global head of commodities.

Ritter joins the German bank from UBS, where, as global head of credit risk exposure, he received Risk’s risk manager of the year award in January 2003.

In his new role, Ritter reports to Jim Turley, Deutsche Bank’s global head of currencies and commodities. Ritter fills the post left by the departure of Kerim Derhalli, who Deutsche Bank appointed as its global head of emerging market equities in April.

Based in New York, Ritter will be a member of Deutsche’s global currencies and commodities management committee.
